Android App Development

Android apps built for the devices your customers actually use.

Android development at Teramob covers the application itself: structure, interface, integration with your backend, and the testing needed before a Play release. We write native Android software when the product depends on platform behavior or a long maintenance life.

We can help with the Play Console side of a release — listing text, assets, and submission — without treating store approval as something anyone can promise.

Where it fits

  • Google Play distribution

A customer app installed from your own Play listing.

  • Managed internal use

A staff tool distributed through a channel your company controls.

  • An Android counterpart

A native Android version of a product that also exists on iOS.

Deliverables

  • A native Android application written in Kotlin, unless an existing Java codebase is the better base
  • An interface that follows the flows approved in design
  • Integration with the APIs named in the scope
  • Test passes on an agreed set of Android versions and screen sizes
  • A release build and short release notes
  • Assistance with Play Console submission from your account

How the work proceeds

  1. Support range

We agree the Android versions and device classes before estimating the test work.

  2. Implementation

We build the agreed flows and keep libraries limited to what the product uses.

  3. Testing

We check installation, the core tasks, and the failure states that would block a release.

  4. Release

We prepare the build and listing materials and submit with access you control.

  5. After launch

Defect fixes and newer Android releases are scheduled under a maintenance agreement, not assumed.

Kotlin is the default for new native work. Libraries are selected per project. We will not rewrite a sound Java codebase only to change the language.

Questions we are often asked

Do you only use Kotlin?

Kotlin is the default for new Android work. If you already have Java, we can extend it when a rewrite would not help the product.

Can you update an existing app?

Yes, when we can work from the source and a clear description of the change. We will tell you if the current structure makes that change risky.

Do you publish under your own Play account?

No. The listing should live in your company’s account.

How do you handle device differences?

We agree a support range and test against it. We do not claim identical behavior on every Android device ever sold.
